In this trio, three young musicians combine their musical influences from Brazil, Taiwan, Israel and Austria. They play their own compositions, which also show some Taiwanese folk songs, Brazilian rhythms or Polka grooves. It's not about the musical difference but about finding a common musical language.
Musicians in their 20s and 30s play swing of the 20s and 30s - good vibes inevitable!
Founded in 2016 by Christian Radovan at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz (AT), the band has been delighting audiences under his leadership ever since with a fat big band sound and musical souvenirs from all over the world.
The ensemble, consisting of 21 musicians, has already toured twice through South Africa and Mozambique, released two albums and makes regular guest appearances on domestic stages such as the Brucknerhaus Linz and Porgy and Bess Vienna.
In addition, the band was invited to the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival in 2021. The common spirit of this group is extraordinary and what has been achieved so far is just the beginning.
When listening to the album, one becomes aware of the diversity of the music. Accompanied by a strong rhythm section, melodies played on authentic instruments, such as the Chinese Erhu, the fretless and e-bow guitar, the Nai bamboo flute from the Middle East, the Udu drums from Africa and the Quanun from the Middle East to be played. Of course, sonorous jazz improvisations on the piano or saxophone can also be heard.
