In this trio, three young musicians combine their musical influences from Brazil, Taiwan, Israel and Austria. They play their own compositions, which also show some Taiwanese folk songs, Brazilian rhythms or Polka grooves. It's not about the musical difference but about finding a common musical language.
The collective lives full of energy and devotion for the moment. Groovy and danceable pop music is celebrated. Only original compositions are performed.
Sparklingly glowing, glistening with wings - that was the evening in June 2019 when the collective took the stage for the first time.
Originally MAMMA FATALE was planned as a one-time-performance-band, but was taught otherwise by the exuberant reactions of the audience. It had to go on and it muss go on.
The future does not want to do without MAMMA FATALE.
When listening to the album, one becomes aware of the diversity of the music. Accompanied by a strong rhythm section, melodies played on authentic instruments, such as the Chinese Erhu, the fretless and e-bow guitar, the Nai bamboo flute from the Middle East, the Udu drums from Africa and the Quanun from the Middle East to be played. Of course, sonorous jazz improvisations on the piano or saxophone can also be heard.
